At MELT Massage & Bodywork, relaxation comes to you. Each appointment is a private, professional mobile massage experience provided in the comfort of your home or approved location.

To ensure a safe, seamless, and relaxing experience, please review the following policies before booking.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Your therapist will arrive with the equipment and supplies needed to provide your massage.

Before arrival, please prepare a clean, safe, and comfortable space with enough room for the massage table and for the therapist to move freely around it.

Please have the area ready before your scheduled appointment so setup can begin promptly.

 

 

Arrival & Setup

Because MELT is a mobile service, appointment times include consideration for travel and setup.

Please be available at the scheduled arrival time and provide any necessary instructions regarding parking, building access, gate codes, elevators, concierge procedures, or other information needed to reach your location.

Unexpected delays caused by inaccessible parking, building access, or the client not being available may reduce the hands-on portion of the appointment.

Travel Area & Fees

Mobile appointments are available within MELT's designated service area.

Depending on your location, a travel fee may apply. Any applicable travel charge will be disclosed before your appointment is confirmed.

Additional fees may apply for extended-distance travel, tolls, paid parking, or special location requirements when disclosed in advance.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment.

Because mobile appointments require reserved appointment time plus travel time, late cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee.

No-shows—including situations where the therapist arrives at the confirmed location and cannot contact or gain access to the client—may be charged the full service amount.

 

 

Parking & Building Access

Clients are responsible for providing accurate parking and access information before the appointment.

If paid parking is the only reasonable parking option at the service location, the applicable parking cost may be added to the appointment total when communicated as part of the booking terms.

For apartments, hotels, gated communities, office buildings, or secured residences, please make arrangements for your therapist to enter the property upon arrival.

 

 

Pets & Household Environment

We love our furry family members, but pets should be safely secured away from the treatment area before your therapist arrives.

Please also maintain a smoke-free treatment area during the appointment and provide an environment where the massage can be performed safely and without unnecessary interruption.

 

 

Health & Illness

Please provide accurate information regarding relevant injuries, allergies, pregnancy, recent surgeries, medications, or health conditions that could affect your massage.

If you are experiencing a fever, contagious illness, vomiting, significant respiratory symptoms, or another potentially contagious condition, please reschedule your appointment.

Massage and bodywork support relaxation and general wellness but are not substitutes for medical diagnosis or treatment. Medical clearance may be requested when appropriate.

 

 

Draping, Comfort & Consent

Professional draping practices are used during every massage.

Your comfort and consent remain important throughout your session. You may request changes to pressure, positioning, techniques, temperature, or areas being addressed at any time. You may decline any technique or end the session at any point.

 

 

Professional Conduct & Therapist Safety

MELT Massage & Bodywork provides professional therapeutic massage and bodywork services only.

Sexual requests, comments, gestures, intentional exposure, inappropriate touching, harassment, threatening behavior, intoxication, illegal activity, or any conduct that compromises the therapist's safety or professional boundaries will result in the appointment being declined or terminated immediately.

The therapist reserves the right to leave the location immediately whenever an environment or situation is reasonably believed to be unsafe.

When a session is terminated because of inappropriate conduct or an unsafe environment, payment may remain due and future booking privileges may be revoked.

 

 

Alcohol & Intoxication

For your safety, massage services will not be performed when a client appears significantly impaired by alcohol or recreational drugs.

If the therapist determines that providing massage would be unsafe or inappropriate, the appointment may be cancelled and applicable cancellation charges may apply.

 

 

Additional Guests

Your massage is intended to provide a peaceful, private experience. Please minimize interruptions from household members, visitors, children, or other guests during your scheduled session whenever possible.

Anyone who is not receiving a service should respect the treatment space and the therapist's professional boundaries.

 

 

Minors

Massage services for clients under 18 require authorization from a parent or legal guardian. Additional requirements regarding guardian presence may apply based on the client's age and service requested.

 

 

Payment

Payment is due according to the terms provided during booking. Deposits or advance payment may be required for certain mobile appointments, extended travel, group bookings, or events.
